JM - I know how the world works, just not 'the google'.
......
After 2 decades in the Senate, having given thousands of speeches, having spent 4 years running for president, I still cannot use a teleprompter.
.....
This may be the most boring night of speech making ever.
Tom Ridge delivered an exceedingly boring speech well.
Cindy McCain talks with the voice at the other end of a sex line.....and is boring.
......
"When I was young, I was a dick." like most of my audience.
......
John McCain paid a terrible price serving his country, and should be honored for all time for that service. But, he is not owed the presidency because of it.
.......
Is it the lighting, or makeup - McCain's tie and face match. That is not an accident.
.......
If last night was red meat, tonight was the lima beans required for a balanced meal.
......
Some dude in the crowd was just holding a sign that said MAVRICK.
One Child Left Behind.
.......
Fight him! Fight him!
......
Ending with a bit of energy...I suppose he has a limited amount. Cindy takes a lot out of him.
......
Spoke for 49 minutes? Said 20 minutes worth of nothing.
......
Cindy McCain is sporting her third hair style of the week.
.....
Custom written country song, from the man with 4 ABBA songs in his top ten.
Raisin' McCain
Subtract that apostrophe and you're on to something.
His 96 year old mother is impressive. More limber than he is.
......
Celebrating the Sarah Barracuda with Heart. Wonder if they got permission - they've been having some trouble with that. Now onto Kool and the Gang - more McCain's style.
(update - nope, Heart not happy - that makes 5 or 6 musical artists telling the McCain camp not to use their songs)
......
PBS seems to think it was a good speech. It was ok, but man that is not his strength.
Not sure how the 'town hall' style made a shit's bit of difference - he was still standing at a podium reading from a teleprompter. The camera angles were almost universally tight shots of him in front of some colored background.
.....
And even crazier was how it started....with a Fred Thompson voice over (..in the criminal justice system....) with the lights completely out and something out of the beginning of a boxing match. There was a sort of weird rousing music ala Rocky, and then McCain standing in a spotlight. It was all downhill from there.
Goodnight.

Saw only glimpses. Yeah - for anyone getting a little too excited about this ticket and then tuning in again tonight...well...
My favorite comment of yours:
