Wow is right. That's the sort of honesty you normally don't hear in anything above a candidate for Soil Commisioner. He HAS to win. If he doesn't end up winning the nomination, and then the presidency, I'm going to feel like fate is playing a sick joke.
I was listening to this in ipod form this morning on the commute in. I agree, of course, that this man should be President.
I remember four and eight years ago, listening to Bush's folksy mumblecode-style speech, how dripping with spin it was, and thinking, well, it's always up to the voters to listen and read past that. In comparison, this feels like another place and time entirely.
It is good to see Mixdorf in love with a politician again. And I daresay it is a deeper love than the Kerry love. Actually I do not daresay it I exclaim it. He can correct me if need be.
The Kerry thing ended so ugly. I really hope that Mixodrf will not be disappointed next fall. For the good of the counrty, for the good of Mixdorf's mental state - are there better reasons to vote. Not for me.
I appreciate that...but if things go badly I may literally have to leave the country, and possibly renounce my citizenship.
If a majority of Americans can vote against their best interests over and over then I'd just assume not be part of their ultimate self-destruction.
Obviously Obama still needs to get past Clinton's willingness to win at all costs, including possibly making Obama unelectable and thereby electing McCain and Bush Version 3.0. The Clintons will then go down in history hated by both the far left and the far right, and at least one of those for good reason.
And that's not to say I was against Clinton. In fact, Dan and Stephen were on board the Obamawagon long before I was. I was willing to let the stronger of Clinton and Obama win and get my vote. But Clinton is proving to be destructive and living up to some of the worst of the smears long attributed to her. She seems willing to sacrifice the good of the country (electing a Democrat) for her own personal gain.

And for some reason, as I listened to the last of Obama's speech, I thought of another nerdly quote, "I would have gone with you to the end." Which of course was followed by, "I know" a clasping of hands and, "Run!".
Since it was spring break, I watched it live. He is a great man who is very inspirational. We must have this guy in the white house. Screw the, he doesn't have experience thing. We had a moron in office for eight years. Things can only be better.
His attack on experience comes from Hillary; Barack's been able to respond without too much difficulty.
The word "integrity" got flogged violently during the past decade, when the GOP used it as a rallying cry for their candidates, co-opting the term as a rebuke of Clinton and his antics. Well, this man has it.
