Good Omens was the one Dan suggested to me, and it was pretty entertaining. He seems to have a history of graphic novels as well that might be worth checking out.
I get the idea he's a Terry Gilliam sort, with a wicked, dark sense of humour and a cult following.
to be honest, I know little about him. I just heard about Good Omens on NPR (which he co-wrote with Terry Pratchett), and decided to read the book. It was about the funniest book I've ever read. I haven't read anything else by Gaiman - though I got the idea Pratchett was more of the funnyman of the duo.

Need to see this one. Everyone who has seen it reports back favorably.
Also, I need to read some books by Neil Gaiman. His fans aren't just fans, they are FANS. Dan (or anyone), where does one begin with Gaiman?
