Particle physics bloggin'

Seems scientists have pushed the limits of quantum communications out to 90 miles, one small step towards instantaneous and entirely secret communications over infinite distances.

Really crazy shit, as I have mentioned on several occasions and in several forums.

And as an irony alert - it's worth noting that a 'Quantum Leap' is potentially so small as to be unmeasurable, as opposed to the common usage of the term.

Also, as you're pondering your navel, always keep in mind that atoms are almost entirely empty space, and so you should be able to see right through your navel and everything on the other side of it. The majority of space in all things is made of a fog of probability, where electrons do not fear to tread.

I always kind of wondered if looking at a solid object wasn't kind of like looking at a Monet.

Or a Manet.

Or possibly much more like a Picasso. He was really feeling that relativity vibe.

After reading Pats last paragraph, and pondering the lint pulled from my own navel, I noticed said lint appears solid at arms length, but held close there is lots of air in there. That also made me think of a painter, but it was Seurat. Are Aaron and Dan's brains experiencing quantum entanglement? Spooky.
