Inside Politics and Star Wars

Holy crap this is funny.

Lindsay Graham uses Star Wars metaphor when describing John McCain and sees Republican Party as the Empire.

I guess we're not alone in seeing them this way.

Just to take the metaphor a little farther:

• The Empire was certainly for small government - namely a government of one.

• Not sure about the low taxes thing - I suspect they were squeezing star systems hard to fund their imperial ambitions.
• Culture of life? As a government headed by someone espousing 'the dark side' it'd be hard to make the case.

On those last two, despite all the claims to be both it's clear their actions speak louder than words.
