As has been stated before, my favorite ethnic food of recent years is Indian (as in from India). Sadly, I rarely get to indulge that love since Indian restaurants are few an far between. I did make some good palak (saag) paneer recently, but still....
To my great satisfaction, we checked out a new Indian restaurant last night and it was good...and close. Mmmmmmm.....
It doesn't look like much from the outside, like Udupi Cafe in NE Minneapolis occupying a rehabbed building in a retail hell, but what it lacked in beauty outside it made up for with good food and service.
They have a website.
I had the shahi paneer korma. Damn tasty.

Indian food: ragrugh (drool). And isn't it fun to find one of those ugly ducklings and make it your own?
Glad you will now be able to feed that need.
Indian food. Damn good. There are two major indian restaurants in Iowa City, both buffets, one vegetarian. Indian acquaintences of mine tell me they do better cooking at home, since both these places are to dull. I fear I can't handle the spice of real indian food, but I'm willing to try.
I once ate rattlesnake and made my own stick bread for dinner, and then went into a sweat where they dripped sage water over hot rocks. It was a very indian thing to do.
TClog in a sweat lodge seems like the worst idea I've ever heard.
Sounds more like something that occurred on a peyote trip, than something that actually happened.
Befriend a raven or a coyote in this particular experience, Elliot?
He actually imagined that he made his own food at scout camp rather than demanding it of the scouts that were earning their slave merit badge, under his direct tutelage.
The sweat lodge was co-ed and we were naked. Believe what you want but I speak the truth.
