1. 3 Resolutions for 2006:
- Serious progress on the remodelling project - including drywall on the ceiling and maple on the floor.
- Addition of strength training/stretching to weekly exercise. Can be just situps/pushups/pullups 3 times a week.
- Reduction of soda/pop in my diet to no more than 2 cans a week, excluding occasional special treats.
- Guerilla day trip to NYC in February to see The Gates. Totally spontaneous, totally ridiculous (8 hours of travel for 3 hours there), and totally fabulous. A good day of feeling alive.
- Pretty short on these, thankfully. Most of my worst moments involved stupid things I did on projects at home or at work. I'll stick with the home ones, since they affect me most personally. We installed two sliding patio doors upstairs to replace two old leaky ones. One is in like a charm. The other went in crooked and needs to come out once the weather is better. Don't ask why it wasn't put in straight the first time - it hurts just to think about it. And of course much will need to be undone to make this happen. Kiss a weekend in 2006 goodbye.
- Mother Nature showed her fangs. Not a personal item, I know, but it was a fairly uneventful year and one without a personal theme for me.
None - see above.
Happy 2006 to everyone. Be sure to listen to some Steve Miller Band to ring in the new year, for as he correctly noted, time does keep on slipping (slipping, slipping ) into the future.

I was not aware you had a pop issue-to the point of cutting down to 2 cans a day being major progress. Best of luck with that: also, if you have any kind of natural product store in your area, you might consider Blue Sky Cola. Double benefit of being all natural (even if it still has empty calories) and costing so much you won't WANT to buy over 2 cans a week.
I remember you loving that NYC trip...
Lack of major "worsts" means you must have had a blessed 2005
Blessed indeed.
